The VenturePrize seminar series and mentor program provides early stage entrepreneurs with the knowledge needed to assess their business concept and planning strategies to give their business plan an edge.
Experienced entrepreneurs are invited to join the VenturePrize mentor team and help an early stage entrepreneur for approximately 4 months. One never knows -  "your entrepreneur" could end up taking the stage as a finalist in this province wide business plan competition!

 NextStep to Success Learning Series: Creating a Great Business Plan
 
Our NextStep to Success program* for Aboriginal women creates opportunities to share experience and knowledge through mentoring, coaching, and training.   As a part of this initiative, AWE is offering an "Are you Ready for Entrepreneurship?" workshop as a first step toward creating an effective business plan in a supportive environment.  This workshop will be available in Edmonton this fall and Calgary in spring 2010. 
 
Attendees of "Are you ready for entrepreneurship?" who would like to move forward can apply for a free 5-session training program offering guidance on creating the key parts of a business plan.  Sessions will include success stories, real life examples and a lot of discussion on starting a business, operations, marketing, finance, and what to do once the business plan is ready.
