Create a Resilient Business
by Tracey Scarlett

How resilient and adaptable is your business?   In light of the uncertain economic times we are living in, what are you doing to ensure your future growth and sustainability?

A very interesting study was released last week by CIBC World Markets that demonstrated the resiliency and adaptability of Canadian small business in the face of economic uncertainty and downturns in the economy, particularly in Central Canada.  The good news is that small businesses have outperformed the overall Canadian economy, and here in Alberta, new business starts lead the country.  But because we are in Alberta where we have enjoyed incredible opportunities over the past few years, have you been lulled into thinking that the business opportunities will always be there, customer service no longer matters and staff turnover is simply a fact of life?
