By Tracey Scarlett

As March draws to a close and we are entering into the spring thaw, I think it is a good time to think about renewal.  I love springtime as the frozen tundra gives way to fertile soil in which newly planted seeds can flourish.

Here at Alberta Women Entrepreneurs, we planted some very prosperous seeds over the past 12 months and are closing in on a very successful fiscal year.

5 Fool-Proof Sales Tips for the "Faint-Hearted"
By Kim Duke

Below are some words of wisdom from this year's AWE Business Blaster MC. It's just a sample of what you have to look forward to!

Maybe you're one of them. A "sales-natural."

Selling has always come easy to you and you've never felt any kind of fear during the sales process.  You thump your chest with pride and roarrrrr!

Then, dear reader, this article is NOT for you (get out there and sell something!)

However, if you love what you do, but on a regular basis (waaaaaaaay more than you'd like to admit!) you've experienced some stress over your sales - hey- you're in the right place!

Ask a Business Advisor
By Kathleen McCloskey

Knowing your competitors is an essential part of growing your business. Often times clients only consider their direct competitors (same products or services as you), and overlook indirect competitors (sell similar products or services and compete for the same dollar in the market).
