MAKING SPACEnothing

As you examine the Ten Commandments you can divide them into the ones that most directly refer to our relationship with God, as opposed to the ones that involve our relationships with others.

As you read through the list there's not much question that the first three commands were given to strengthen and protect our relationship with God.

The last six commandments safeguard the relationships that we have with our family and others around us.

But what about the fourth commandment,""Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy"?

This command is unique because it doesn't seem to protect or strengthen a relationship that we have with anyone else.  In a sense this command was given by God to protect and strengthen us, because it's only when we take time to rest that we can really experience all the blessings of the life that God has designed for us to live.  It's sad that the one command that was given to us for our own well being is also the one that we are the most likely to ignore.

I hope you can join us this weekend as we look at some of the benefits of "Living with Margin."

Embracing the journey,
Pastor Rick
