IS JESUS THE ONLY WAY TO GOD?

Imagine that you're trapped inside a burning building. The fire has caused part of the ceiling to collapse and block the only exit. No matter how hard you try, you can't escape. Resigned to your fate, you lie on the floor to wait for the inevitable. But then you hear first responders working to break through to where you are from the other side of the wall. Muffled voices are yelling for you to respond. In a daring rescue, a fireman breaks through the wall and creates a hole large enough for you to crawl out to safety. "Let's go," he calls out through the smoke, "we have to hurry! Follow me!"
"Are you kidding me?" you ask. "You've only knocked one hole in the wall. What kind of a person do you think I am? Only one way out? You've got to be kidding!"
Ridiculous, isn't it? If you were caught in a burning building, you would be glad that any way of escape was provided. You wouldn't argue that there wasn't more than one to choose from. Once you were safe you would thank the fireman for risking his life to provide that one way out.
Jesus is the one way to God. He came to provide us the way to be saved. Critics complain that it's narrow-minded to tell people that there is only one way to God. Christians call the one way provided by Jesus on the cross amazing grace.
I hope you can join us this weekend as we continue our series "God, I've Got A Question" with a look at the question "Is Jesus The Only Way To God?"
Embracing the journey,
Pastor Rick
