ONE DAY
Scholars believe Jesus lived 33 years before he was crucified on Good Friday. This means that Jesus lived approximately 12,000 days before his death. The Gospel writers Matthew, Mark, Luke and John focused their writings on just 1,100 of those days (Jesus' last three years); with particular interest in one day - Jesus' last day, the day he was crucified.
Each of the Gospel writers gives significant attention to the events and details surrounding Jesus' final 24 hours. Why is that? Why so much attention and focus on Jesus' last 24 hours? It's because the Gospel writers were convinced that Jesus' last day changed the world, the course of human history and them. I hope you can join us this weekend as we begin a new series that will examine how Jesus spent the last 24 hours of his life. My prayer is that together we'll see how Jesus' final day changed the world, history and us.
Embracing the journey,
Pastor Rick
