BLESSED TO BE A BLESSINGb2b

In Genesis chapter 12 the Lord came to Abraham and said,

Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.

From the very beginning, God's plan was to bless the nation of Israel so that they in turn could be a blessing to the entire earth.

There is a principle in the Bible that to whom much has been given, much will be expected.

As a nation, the USA has more wealth, more trained Christian workers, more Bibles, more message CD's, more MP3's and more seminaries than any other country in the world.

God has blessed us with much as a country, and as a church, and his expectation is that we will bless others as we have been blessed.

This weekend, as we begin a new teaching series called "Blessed To Be A Blessing," we're going to be looking at the link between generosity and joy. I hope you can join us Saturday at 5:30PM or Sunday morning at 9AM or 11AM.

Embracing the journey,
Pastor Rick
