Is it accumulating a certain amount of money or a certain sized salary?
Is it obtaining a certain degree of fame or recognition?
Is it having a good family and nice friends...or making a difference in the world?
What is success to you?
This weekend at ERBC, we are going to look at Jesus' definition of success, as we continue to explore the Sermon on the Mount with our "40 Days With Jesus" teaching series.
Let me warn you in advance --Jesus' teaching on success is counter-cultural and radical. But it's also the pathway to ultimate fulfillment, peace and happiness.
I hope you can join us this Saturday at 5:30PM or Sunday morning at 9 or 11AM, as we continue "40 Days" with "Jesus On Success."

 OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD

 YOUTH RAPPELLING TRIP
ERBC Youth are going rock climbing and rappelling, Saturday Oct 15th, 8:30AM-2:30PM. Students are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes, pack a lunch and bring a water bottle. Parents are invited to attend. The cost is $5. Contact Andrew White for details: andrew@eaglerockbaptist.com. |

Baptism is an important step Jesus asks every believer to take. If you are a follower of Christ and you have not been baptized yet, we encourage you to find out more.  MEMBERSHIP CLASS
Become an official member of the ERBC family. Find out more about the beliefs, values and vision of our church, and discover why church membership is an important step in your spiritual journey. Our next Membership Class will be held October 23, 12:30-3PM, and lunch will be served. This class is a requirement for membership, but anyone is welcome to come and learn more about ERBC. |

ERBC Young Adults will meet in the Coffee House for Interact --an opportunity to hear about a topic and then dialogue about it. The topic for this session will be: Science and Religion, presented by Andrew White. Interact is happening Sunday, October 23, 6-8PM, and it's free.  GRIEF SUPPORT
TUESDAYS, OCTOBER 25-NOVEMBER 29
Find support, encouragement and compassion in the midst of grief. ERBC is offering a 6-week grief support ministry for adults who have experienced the loss of a close friend or family member in the past two years.  YOUTH ART EXPO
Students from our ERBC Youth are shaping and painting skate boards for an Art Expo on Friday, October 28th, 7-9PM in Fellowship Hall. Come out to see their work, support the students, and perhaps buy a piece of art. Proceeds will go to support camp scholarships.  TRICK OR TRUNK
Why go "trick or treating" when you can go "trick or trunking"?! Trick or Trunk is a fun, free, safe way to celebrate. We'll have a parking lot full of decorated trunks for you to visit (and get treats). Admission is free, and food, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase. This is a community event --invite your friends! |
