 Peace or panic? You decide.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Life has its share of storms. Some come with thunder and lightning. Some storms come with job loss, illness, separation, divorce, or undesired singleness. Some storms hit with that final enemy --death.
God's Word tells us exactly what to do when storms hit
--pray. Using anxiety as an alarm, we're told to, "present [our] requests to God." When we do that, He promises to replace our panic with His peace --"a peace that "transcends all understanding." It's a peace that "guards our hearts and minds."
This weekend we're continuing our series "What's In A Name?" with a look at Jehovah-Shalom: The Lord is our Peace. If there's an area in your life where you could use more peace, I invite you to join us Saturday evening at 5:30 or Sunday morning at 9Am or 11AM.

 CARWASH-A-THON
We've got a lot of fun summer activities planned for our youth (middle & high school) this summer (including camp at Hume Lake). Help support our students this summer by sponsoring our Carwash-a-thon. Offer to support a teen with a pledge per car washed. Then bring your car for a free wash on Saturday, July 30.  MEN'S GOLF TOURNAMENT
Fore! The ERBC Men's Golf Tournament is coming Saturday August 13, 7:30AM-1PM at Scholl Canyon Golf Course. This is a best-ball tournament with a shotgun start.
