"Look at the birds..."
It's hard to admit it, but it's true. We don't have nearly as much control over our lives as we'd like to think. We think that if we don't keep the plates spinning, they're going to all come crashing down. And so we worry --the exact thing that Jesus commands us not to do! In Matthew 6 Jesus challenges us to "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
This weekend we're continuing our look at what it means to be a Christian Atheist with the message "I Believe In God, But I Still Worry A Lot." I hope you can join us Saturday evening at 5:30 or Sunday morning at 9:00 or 11:00. And don't forget to bring your worries with you. As part of our time of worship there's going to be an opportunity for you to give them to God.
Embracing the journey, Pastor Rick
