 Can you hear me now?
Of all the different definitions for prayer that I've heard suggested, my favorite is probably also the simplest, and that is that prayer is 'a conversation with God.' When it comes to conversations most of us are better talkers than we are listeners. I think it's significant that when Jesus' disciples came to Him with their questions about prayer they didn't ask, "Lord, teach us to listen," but rather "Lord, teach us to pray." Yet we know that if we're engaged in a conversation with someone and we're not listening to what they are saying, that it's not really much of a conversation.
This weekend, as we're continuing our study of the Vertical relationship that God calls us to, Andrew White will lead us in looking at one of the most often overlooked aspects of prayer --"Learning to Listen to the Voice of God."

 ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETINGS
SATURDAY, APRIL 9 & SUNDAY, APRIL 17
Once a year, our church family takes time to review the past year and consider plans for the coming year. On Saturday, April 9 (7PM - Chi Hall Library) we are holding a "pre-business meeting" where you can review the proposed budget for the new fiscal year in detail. On Sunday, April 17 (12:30PM - Fellowship Hall) we will hold our Annual Meeting, where ERBC members may vote on the proposed budget and committee members. Details are available in the front lobby of the Worship Center.

 YOUNG ADULTS BOWLING

 YOUNG ADULTS ROCK CLIMBING

 SENIORS WHALE WATCHING
Eagles Wings invites all seniors to join us for a Whale Watching trip, on Wednesday, April 13. The cost is $25, plus $3 to help pay for gas. We will meet at 10AM in the ERBC parking lot.  NEIGHBORHOOD WALK
Help ERBC reach out to our community. We want to let our neighbors know about our Easter services as well as our Community Breakfast & Egg Hunt. Join us on Saturday morning, April 16, at 10AM, as we walk our surrounding streets and drop off invitations to our neighbors. A light lunch will be provided after the walk.  ADULT GRIEF SUPPORT
Find support, encouragement and compassion in the midst of grief. ERBC's senior ministry, Eagles Wings, is offering a 6-week grief support ministry for any adults who have experienced the loss of a close friend or family member in the past two years. The group will meet Mondays, 7-8:15PM in the Family Room. There is no cost to participate.  COMMUNITY BREAKFAST & EGG HUNT
Celebrate Easter with our neighbors! We'll be serving up a hot, delicious breakfast for everyone, followed by an egg hunt for all kids 12 and under.
