 I RESOLVE TO...
As we come to the end of the first week of 2011, how are you doing with your New Year's Resolutions? What, you didn't make any? Well then you're definitely in the minority because surveys have shown that over 80% of Americans make one or more resolutions. The most common of those is to get in shape.
For most people that resolution refers to the physical. They want to lose a little weight and get a little healthier. But what about getting in shape spiritually?
Anyone can become physically fit if he or she will regularly do certain exercises and practice good health habits. Likewise, spiritual fitness is no mystery. It's simply a matter of learning certain spiritual exercises and being disciplined enough to do them until they become habits.
In our weekend teaching this month we're looking at the habits that we need to adopt in order to ACCELERATE our spiritual growth and get us on track toward getting in shape spiritually.
I hope you'll make it your resolution to join us this weekend as we continue our series and look at "The Habit of Prayer."
