Original Recipe or Extra Crispy?
Christmas is celebrated in a variety of ways around the world. For some people in Japan, the traditional Christmas dinner is Kentucky Fried Chicken. It's so popular and well marketed you would have to make a reservation to eat at a KFC on Christmas in that country. In Ireland, the Irish children enjoy Christmas cheer the same way we enjoy it here but on a less lavish scale. They have a practice of placing lighted candles in their windows on Christmas Eve as a guide and invitation to all who may, like Mary and Joseph, be looking for shelter. Then wanderers are welcomed and, as they leave the next morning, they are given adequate funding to help them the next day. This weekend at ERBC we're continuing our look at Christmas traditions by examining "The Tradition of Redemption" as it's seen through the gifts of the wise men.
I hope you can join us Saturday evening at 5:30 or Sunday morning at 9 or 11.
Embracing the journey, Pastor Rick
