 It is the official opening of play season on the Kitsap Peninsula and there are an abundance of farmer's markets, fairs and festivals. Bremerton's 63rd Armed Forces Day Celebration & Parade, largest parade of its kind in the USA, and the ever popular Poulsbo Viking Fest get things hopping. A week later, its the 3-day, event packed Kitsap Harbor Festival that fill up the marinas and waterfront districts in Port Orchard and Bremerton. Its time to get out and enjoy the sea and sunshine with a long weekend of festive activities at the Kitsap Harbor Festival. All kinds of fun events will take place on the waterfronts of both Bremerton and Port Orchard.
 Visit the historic Tall Ships, vendor booths, open-air flea market, farmers markets, and a classic car show. Bring your vocal cords, to the Port Orchard Seagull Calling Festival. Both Saturday & Sunday the Bremerton|Port Orchard foot ferry will operate every thirty minutes from 8:30 AM (departs Port Orchard) until 7:45 PM (departs Bremerton).
