Spring On Over To the Kitsap Peninsula... 
Early Spring is a wonderful time to get away to the
Kitsap Peninsula for the day, night or nice long Spring Break getaway weekend, especially during Spring Break with the kids. There are lots of family fun activities to capture their imagination.


On Bainbridge Island explore the Kids Discovery Museum.  

In Poulsbo, learn about 100 species of marine plants and bug museum animals found in our Puget Sound waters at the Poulsbo Marine Science Center. In Keyport, learn about the wonders of the ocean world at the Naval Undersea Musuem. Escape into the magical world of puppetry at the Valentetti Puppet Museum & Evergreen Children's Theater in Bremerton. Check out cool live critters at Bremerton's Bug Museum.  From the Port Orchard ferry dock, climb aboard the Carlisle II foot ferry for a fun excursion with the whole family to Bremerton and back.      

 

Farmers Markets  
Some farmers markets are already open and ready to welcome visitors and locals. Enjoy spring bouquets, local produce, hand-crafted gifts, artisan breads, and other treats. Also stroll through quaint, historic towns lined with shops, galleries, marinas and waterfront trails and boardwalks during your stay. 

 A true tourist is always busy working up an appetite and thirst and we have plenty of places to satisfy your taste buds. If you're sailing over from Seattle, drop anchor for the night...or weekend at the beautiful Bremerton Harborside Marina anAnthony restaurantd stroll over for a delicious meal at Anthony's at Sinclair Inlet which hosts spectacular, sweeping water views and ferries and local boating activity.      

 

 

If arriving via the world famous Washington State Ferry, stop at Bainbridge Island's longtime favorite, the famous Streamliner Diner. An appetite-pleasing stop in Kingston is The Oak Table Cafe and in Poulsbo, head to Sheila's Portside Restaurant & Bar for their classic local home-styled breakfast or lunch. In Hansville, discover a friendly hometown eatery and gathering place, Cup of Joy cafe.

In Port Gamble, breakfast and lunch are served at the Port Gamble General Store. In Old Town Silverdale, Monica's Waterfront Bakery & Cafe dishes up mouth-watering fresh baked delights and fair trade java.
In scenic Seabeck on the shores of Hood Canal, Seabeck Pizza is a local favorite anytime.
