September 3-5  Celebrate Labor Day Weekend at the Annual Bremerton
HarborFestBlackberry Festival & Taste of Port Orchard!    

Sunshine is on the menu for this popular 3-day happening that attracts thousands of visitors to the Mentor Waterfront Boardwalk and Harborside and Arts District.

Enjoy live music, food, and more than 100 vendor booths. Take a tour of the USS Turner Joy, sign-up for a Fly-in at Bremerton Airport, get creative with chalk art, and race in the Berry Bike Race & Fun Run. Better yet, just relax and enjoy the weekend. Boats are welcom

September 4 - Taste of Port Orchard features local chefs and band, Magic Carpet Ride.

The Port Orchard Bay St. Association is hosting the "Taste" at Waterfront Park. The event will include 20 artists at the Art on the Boardwalk, a Beer Garden, and music by the Magic Carpet Ride featuring members of the classic rock band Steppenwolf, presented by Fathom's of Fun - Concerts on the Bay. Ten local restaurants will be cooking up a storm so bring your appetite! Shops filled with art, antiques, collectibles, clothing, gifts will be open and ready to explore! Click to learn more.  

 

Ride On An Original 1914 Mosquito Fleet Boat! The Carlisle11historic Mosquito Fleet foot ferry, Carlisle II, will run all weekend transporting visitors between Bremerton and Port Orchard Marinas. Learn more about the history of the famous Kitsap Peninsula Mosquito Fleet at the Kitsap Historical Museum in Bremerton and the Sidney Art Museum in Port Orchard, also home to the 1914 Log Cabin Museum and Sidney Art Gallery.

Distinguished Speaker Series with Larry Colton  

Join the Naval Undersea Museum for a talk from author Larry Colton, who will speak about his book No Ordinary Joes. The book is about the lives of four crewman aboard USS Grenadier, which was hit by a Japanese aerial torpedo in 1943. Mr. Colton brings the lives of these four "ordinary" heroes into brilliant focus.
