September 3, 4 & 5 - Bremerton Bremerton's Blackberry Festival - FREE
The Blackberry Festival draws nearly 50,000 people annual to this popular FREE Labor Day weekend held on the waterfront boardwalk in Bremerton's Harborside District. Include music concerts, kids shows, chalk art contests, cycling race, and fun run. There is also an airshow and events hosted by the Port of Bremerton's National Airport.
Plan ahead for your Blackberry Festival weekend and stay at one of the nearby hotels including the Baymont Inn & Suites, Quality Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites, or Midway Inn. September 24-25 - Poulsbo Combine a visit to historic downtown Poulsbo with a glimpse of Northwest maritime history. Mark your calendars for the 16th Annaul Poulsbo Classic Yacht Rendezvous at the Port of Poulsbo Marina. With over 30 vessels on display, this is one of the largest gatherings of classic wooden motor yachts on the West Coast. These vintage vessels are all beautifully restored and maintained and many date from World War II. |

Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival
The second annual Gig Harbor Wine & Food Festival, featured at the Harbor History Museum on August 6th from noon - 6:00 p.m. will feature Kevin Gillespie, Executive Chef and Partner at Woodfire Grill in Atlanta. Gillespie was a contestant on Bravo's "Top Chef". The event will showcase thirty-four regional wineries and breweries and numerous regional restaurants and food providers as well as a extensive variety of events. Kitsap Peninsula Mecca For Local Brews
If you love local brews and pubs, head on over to the Kitsap Peninsula and we'll keep you in good spirts. T he population of local brewers is expanding as well as pubs that serve local brews from Seattle, too. You can find a list on our Brewery-Winery search. Here's a few to wet your whistle.
For great local beer and yummy eats, try Hales Alehouse and Silver City in Silverdale, in Bremerton, Anthony's Homeport pulls local brews and has awesome appetizers in the bar.
In Manette, head to Der Blokken. In Poulsbo, it's Tizley's Europub and Hare & Hound, and in Kingston, tap into Main Street Ale for brews and good food. On Bainbridge Island, the place for brews is the Harbour Public House and Doc's Marina Grill. Sample brews at the Hood Canal Brewery located between Kingston and Poulsbo, at the newest brewery on the block, Sound Brewery in Poulsbo. In Gig Harbor, set sail for the 7-Seas Brewery and Tides Tavern.

The art gallery will host the 8th annual textile exhibition and competition. The show challenges all those that work in fine needlework such as quilting, knitting and cross-stitch, to compete against one another for awards and prizes. Reception is August 6th. Learn more.

Port Ludlow Presents Amazing Sailboat Acrobats Two French acrobats from Cirque La Loupiote will be making an appearance at The Port Ludlow Marina to perform their intriguing skills on a sailboat. Acrobats Delphine and Franck have been on a voyage around the world and will be here on their West Coast stop. Inspired by circus, dance and theater, the duo performs their art with a sailboat as their stage using the mast, boom, rigging and other parts of the boat as theatrical props.
