Summer is here (really) and a perfect time to enjoy the many outdoor activities the Kitsap Peninsula has to offer. You'll find crowd-pleasing farmers' markets nearly every day of the week where you can meet local farmers and vendors ready to share their abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables, artisan breads and baked treats, fresh cheeses, veggie starts, and hand-made gifts and crafts for dads and grads, and beautiful flower bouquets.  For a special weekday or weekend outing, take a scenic 10-minute ride aboard the historic Carlisle II foot ferry one of the original Mosquito Fleet boats that has been in service for more than 90 years. In Bremerton, you can board at the WA State Ferry terminal in Bremerton and sail to the Port Orchard Marina and enjoy the Port Orchard farmer's market (on Saturday).
