Dear Business Analyst:
This email is to invite Seattle IIBA® Chapter members to participate in the next virtual study group to learn about "A Guide to the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge® (BABOK® Guide) version 2.0". The group meets virtually via phone and Webex teleconference. In past sessions, members have formed several small localized groups and met face-to-face while participating online.
Do you want to familiarize yourself with BABOK® Guide version 2.0? Do you plan to attain Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP ™) or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA™) status? Do you want to earn up to 17.5 Professional Development hours to satisfy CBAP ™ or CCBA™ exam prerequisites?
Our last BABOK® study group concluded in April 2012 with more than 30 members participating. Discussion from study group participants on the practical application of the tools and techniques was sited as one of the more valuable learning experiences. Participants also stated preparing for their chapter presentation created a deeper understanding on what it is to become an expert business analyst. Since April, a small study group have formed for more intensive study, several members have started their application and some have even completed their application and are approved to sit for the exam.
As VP of Education, I look forward to being part of a group of peers, collaborating to raise our BABOK® Guide V2 aptitude. By December 2012, I want each participant to understand the BABOK® Guide V2 at a much greater level. I hope you take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about business analysis in terms of the BABOK® Guide and the next steps to certification.
Sincerely,
Jim Blum
VP Education, IIBA ® Seattle Chapter
