Respect Week (October 1st - 5th) - The state of NJ has mandated that the first week of October be Respect Week in our schools. Throughout the week, BMS will host a variety of instructional activities for students to participate in centered around the theme of respecting one another. Click here to access the flyer.
BMS Co-Curriculars - Our co-curricular activities are beginning to get under way. Our advisors have set up the schedule of when and where their clubs will meet. A copy of this schedule can be found here or by going to the BMS School Website and clicking on the link for Co-Curriculars.
Forensics -
Are you dramatic? Do you like performing in front of group? Then, you should try out BMS's Forensics club! Sign-ups have begun, and you can pick up the permission slip from Ms. MacGorman in the library! The first meeting is Wednesday, October 17th! Click HERE to download the permission slip!
Girls on Track - A fun running club open to 5th & 6th grade girls. Have fun training for a 5K race while making friends and learning about yourselves. We meet every Tuesday and Thursday from October 2nd to December 4th. Come see Ms. Malwitz with any questions and to get a permission slip or click here.
Green Team Science Club - Do you love science and doing labs? Come join the Green Team. You'll get to do a bunch of fun environmental activities outside, cleaning up and planting around our school, and also do cool science labs and experiments inside - the stuff you always wanted to do in science class! Open Gym:
Attention 5/6th Graders: Are you interested in participating in Open Gym? Open Gym will run the on Tuesdays and Fridays for the month of October. Please pick up a permission slip from Ms. Both in Room 154 or click here . Any questions, please contact Ms. Both or Mr. Gilly.
Peer Leadership -
Are you a 7th or 8th grader looking to make an impact on the school community? Are you looking to become a leader among your peers? Consider joining Peer Leadership club! Yearbook Club:
Anyone interested in joining the Yearbook club, please see Mrs. Heydt in room 307 for a permission slip. Our first meeting will be held, October 3rd.

BMS Writing Lab -
Next week, the BMS Writing Lab will begin for the 2012-2013 school year. The Writing Lab will convene on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school, from 2:50-3:50, in the BMS Computer Lab Room 234. Students are welcome to bring current writing assignments to work on, including but not limited to: open-ended responses, journals, essays, poems, contest entries, and free-writes.
