BMS Friday Folder
May 4, 2012 |
Hello,
The fifth and sixth graders attended a wonderful assembly on Houdini this week, presented by Patrick Garner and courtesy of our HSA. NJASK testing went well and makeup testing will continue next week.
Enjoy your weekend,
Lynn Sharp
P.S. Beginning Monday, May 7, traffic on Old Fort Road will be reduced to one lane as contractors begin construction for sidewalk installation. Most school buses that use Old Fort Road will be detoured.
Many children from all three schools use that road to walk to and from home. With the addition of construction equipment and vehicles, it will be even more congested. Please use extreme caution if you choose to drive on Old Fort Road. Detouring around that road would be preferable. Please remind your children who walk on that road to be extra cautious during this phase of construction.

Health News:
If your child exhibits symptoms such as sore throat, headache, body aches, stuffy nose and/or cough associated with a fever this may be influenza. It is important to keep your child home from school if they are ill. Students should be fever free for 24 hours before returning to school without using fever-reducing drugs such as tylenol or advil.
Remember - Hand washing is the single most effective way to prevent the spread of germs and disease. Please promote the practice of frequent hand washing in your family and remind your children to cover their coughs and sneezes with a tissue or use their elbow, arm or sleeve instead of their hand when a tissue is unavailable. Thank you!
