New     MSG VARSITY ACADEMIC CHALLENGE
The MSG Varsity Academic Challenge faced a formidable obstacle in the quarterfinal round of the competition, facing Morristown-Beard. The BHS lineup of seniors Matthew Goldman, Adam Rosenstein, Julianna St.Onge, and Saranya Thurairatnam, and junior Kathryn Levin were locked

in a close battle through the first four rounds - so close, that the final score was a tie. When that occurs, the competition rules stipulate that there is a one-question elimination question. The team's alternate, Kathryn, heard the question and provided the fastest response, allowing the team to advance to the semifinals. The semifinal round will air on Thursday, May 12 at 6:30pm on MSG, with re-airings on Saturday and Sunday on NJ12.
