Hello,
The student Talent Show held before spring break was a huge success! Our fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth graders performed twenty-one wonderful acts. This was the first Talent Show at BMS, thanks to Ms. Both and the Student Council. Great job to everyone involved!
Sixth and seventh graders, get ready for the Wacky Tacky Dance next Friday, April 20th! More information is listed under HSA news below.

NJ ASK TESTING - Attention Parents: Testing for Grades 7 and 8 is April 23 - 26. Grades 5 and 6 will have testing April 30 - May 3. Please make sure your student arrives promptly at 7:45 AM on testing days. Students will receive NJASK 2012 Parent & Student Testing Information Booklets during classes Friday for both students and parents to read. Additionally, you can access the same information from the following links.
BMS Celebrates Earth Month!
1. Electronics Recycling Event! Bring in any old electronic equipment, whether it works or not, by Thursday, April 19th. Bring it to Ms. Malwitz' room next week to receive community service credit.
2. Healthy Kids = Healthy Earth Poster Contest! Make a poster that celebrates Earth Month and things kids can do to help make our earth a healthier place for everyone. Prizes include gift cards and memberships to the Somerset Hills YMCA. Bring your poster to Ms. Malwitz by Wednesday, April 25th.
3. Go Green BMS! Wear as much green as you can Friday, April 20th. The science class in each grade with the most students wearing green will receive ice cream at lunch. Tell your friends to go green!!
BMS Earth Science Team: For the past five months, twenty students in the eighth grade class have been competing as an Earth Science Team in the New Jersey Science League - a statewide high school competition that takes place annually from January through April. Following the first three competitions this year, the BMS Earth Science Team ranks 5th in the state, behind teams from Millburn, Toms River North, Toms River South and Glen Ridge high schools! As in the past three years, our team is the only middle school team competing against freshman through senior teams from high schools across New Jersey. One competition remains before the results for this year are finalized.

Guidance Corner: Race to Nowhere presented by Atlantic Health. This program addresses the results of pressure on adolescents in our achievement-based culture. The Department of Psychiatry and Atlantic Behavioral Health are pleased to present the acclaimed film "Race to Nowhere" Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 6 to 9PM at the Morristown Medical Center, Malcolm Forbes Amphitheater. 8th GRADE TRIP. . . Second Payment Due Date of March 15th has passed. Second Payment of $90 or payment in FULL of $190 is required for each student in order to attend the trip in June. Please click on Payment #2 Coupon attached.
6th and 7th Graders - SAVE THE DATE - Friday, April 20th, 7-9 PM, WACKY TACKY DANCE! Dress in your wackiest, tackiest outfit ever and get your picture taken in a photo booth with your friends!
