Greetings!
Ever noticed we ONLY sell genuine Cuban Cigars? We have thought about stocking non-cuban stogies, but we would have to build a second humidor to keep them separate, so their perfume would not taint the Cuban cigars.
We know some of the non-cuban cigars out there are great smokes, but it seems when they are up to a Cuban cigar standard, they cost the same or more than Cuban Cohibas, so considering that, you may as well have the genuine article and grab some Cuban cigars.
We hope you are enjoying your summer! As the evenings cool off this becomes my favorite time of the year for after dinner cigars on the deck. Music playing, the sun setting, a cool breeze and a single malt paired with a Montecristo No 2 torpedo. Hard to beat!

Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar,
although when a Cuban, a really good cigar! I smoked a Cohiba Siglo IV the other night. It was a very fine Cuban cigar that I enjoyed immensely while sitting with friends & family on our deck.  We had just finished a BBQ prime rib dinner with all the fix'ins and we were having coffee, and later some McCallums 18yo single malt scotch. The unusual things is, I was not concentrating on the cigar's flavors and aroma. I was busy with the conversation and having fun. I got about three quarters through when I realized I was not paying appropriate attention, yet I was still thoroughly enjoying the cigar. I often make mental notes for reviewing the cigar in our newsletters and on our website, but this time all I can say is I enjoyed the pleasure of a Cuban cigar and that the warm weather, good conversation and the view of our small garden with all its flowers this time of the season, made the cigar even better. So I suppose one must not always have to concentrate and gather all the flavors, aromas and hints of hidden treasures found in most Cuban cigars. Sometimes, just the enjoyment of the cigar, combined with the atmosphere I describe above, is just enough.
So if I were to rate the cigar, it would be into the mid 90s based on my experience. If you asked me for more, I would smile and say "I found it added to my enjoyment of an evening with friends and family."
What more could a man want in a cigar, or out of life for that matter. |

San Cristobal de la Habana La Punta

 San Cristobal is a brand that I should really revisit more often.
After purchasing a box of San Cristobal Murallas and smoking all of them in a fairly short period, I needed a break from them. As with any cigar, if you smoke them all of the time they become the norm and they are not appreciated as they should be.
Well it had been a while since I tried the La Punta and what a great treat.
A lighter wrapper of 2/6. The initial experiences on the palate were of toasted almonds, leather, oak and a hint of raisin. As the cigar progressed, the tart experience of the raisin subsided and turned more towards the oaky flavors with a nutty undertone. The last third provided a soft, balanced, smooth woody and nutty finish very easy on the senses.
A medium bodied cigar of 5/10, very enjoyable afternoon cigar. I awarded a score of 92/100.

Montecristo Grande Edmundo Limited Edition 2010

2 010 Grand Edmundo LE - This is my second time trying this LE from Cuba. My first cigar was enjoyable but not much different that the regular release Edmundo.
Well let me tell you, time has been very kind to this cigar. The Grand Edmundo LE 2010 has aged extremely well. I was fortunate to have a 4/6. dark wrapper on this cigar
I paired this wonderful cigar with a Dalwhinnie 15 single malt. This Cuban cigar is a must have in your humidor.
Right out of the gate you will enjoy smooth velvet notes of wet cedar with a hint of vanilla followed by notes of leather and chocolate. This is an outstanding Cuban cigar and one that should be sought after.
You will not be disappointed. My overall rating is 93/100.

All about the Wife!
A Golfer accidentally overturned his cart. Elizabeth, a beautiful pro golfer who lived in a villa on the golf course heard the noise and yelled over to him.
"Hey, are you okay, what's your name?" "Willis" he replied. "Willis forget your troubles. Come to my villa, rest up and I'll help you get the cart up later".
"That's mighty nice of you" Willis answered "but I don't think my wife would like it". "Aw come on" Elizabeth insisted. She was very pretty and persuasive. "Well okay" Willis finally agreed and added "but my wife won't like it".
After a hearty drink AND sexy driving and putting lessons, Willis thanked his host. "I feel a lot better now, but I know my wife is going to be real upset".
"Don't be foolish!" Elizabeth said with a smile "she won't know anything about it.
By the way, where is she?"
"Under the cart!"said Willis

Fresh from my shower, I stood in front of the mirror complaining to my husband that my breasts are too small.
Instead of characteristically telling me it's not so, he uncharacteristically comes up with a suggestion.
"If you want your breasts to grow, then every day take a piece of toilet paper and rub it between them for a few seconds."
Willing to try anything, I fetch a piece of toilet paper and stand in front of the mirror, rubbing it between my breasts. "How long will this take?" I asked.
"They will grow larger over a period of years," my husband replies. I stopped. "Do you really think rubbing a piece of toilet paper between my breasts every day will make my breasts larger over the years?"
Without missing a beat he says, "Worked for your arse, didn't it?"
He's still alive, and with a great deal of therapy, he may even walk again. |
