Cuban Cigar Review
Ramon Allones Small Club Corona
4 1/3 x 42
tres petit corona (short)
reviewed by D Fraser
This cigar offers the typical pleasing flavors of the Ramon Allones line of Cuban cigars. The smaller size makes it about a 3 1/2 of 10 strength and the wrapper was a lighter 2/6.
I found the nuttiness of fresh walnut or almond came through right away, along with some nice light wood and fresh leather. There were some subtle coffee notes, but on the milder size, sort of coffee & cream, no sugar.
The size is about a half hour cigar, perfect for a short wait, drive or dog walk. The 42 ring ensures an abundant amount of smoke.
Overall rating of this little short would be a 91/100.

Cuban Cigar Review
Hoyo de Monterrey Double Corona
7 5/8 x 49 double corona
reviewed by Cameron M
When you smoke a Hoyo de Monterrey double Corona you have time to consider what to write in a review, as it is a large cigar that was a pleasure to smoke.
I paired this wonderful double corona with a Grangestone 12 year old single malt scotch.
The wrapper was a 3/6 the draw was perfect.
When I first lit this cigar the cool smoke tasted of roasted coffee and dry leather with notes of cedar. The same tones remained right to the end, though with increased intensity and strength.
I consider this a medium strength cigar with an rating of 92/100.

Cuban Cigar Review
Ramon Allones Allones Extra LE
Limited Edition 2011
5 3/5 x 44 gorda
reviewed by Cameron M
Ramon Allones LE 2011- Ramon Allone is one of my preferred choices for Cuban cigars.
I had paired this cigar with a Glenlivet 15 year old single malt scotch. I was waiting with bated breath to try this LE for 2011. This actually was the second one I smoked.
The cigar didn't have the usual flavors of your regular releases from Ramon Allone.
I had notes of espresso with dark chocolate, and found this to be a medium strength cigar.
Unfortunately this LE fell well short of my expectations. The cigar never really came alive and was very single dimensioned and plain for a coveted Limited Edition Cuban.
It will need time for aging and improvement.
My overall rating is 88/100 CM 2012
