Greetings!
Even here in the great white North, spring seems to be arriving. Earlier than usual, but I bet we still see some snow. Elsewhere, actually anywhere South of us, Spring has indeed arrived, golf courses are opening, outdoor seating for bars are being power washed and most gentlemen are smoking slightly larger cigars now that they can be out of doors enjoying the weather. Partagas Lusitania

It is no wonder that Cuba is famous for their double coronas.
They don't make many, but their selection of double coronas make for some of the best cigars you will ever smoke from Cuba.
The Partagas Lusitania is no exception. The wrapper on this large cigar was a milk chocolate brown, slightly veiny but well constructed.
The first draw produced a blanched almond, allspice with a slight white pepper kick.
Due to the length of this vitola, the smoke is very cool and smooth by the time it reaches your mouth, making it a true pleasure to smoke.
After about the first third to half, the flavours turned to a more toasted almond with hints of mocha and a noticeable meatiness to it. The white pepper was always in the balance which I find common in the Partagas line. The size makes it less strong than the usual fare from Partagas, I would place it at a 3.5 of 10 and and overall score of 92/100.

This is a well constructed cigar with a claro wrapper (light) a 2 out of 6.
I found the Romeo y Julieta Belicoso to be a light to medium cigar.
There was a spiciness to this enjoyable cigar. In the first half of the cigar there was a definite note of honey with sublime notes of cedar. The last half there were faint reminders of dried flowers and hints of tea.
I enjoyed this cigar as an after dinner cigar. I paired this wonderful cigar with a single malt Macallan Select Oak whiskey, give it a try and your palette will thank you.
My overall rating is 92/100

Donald, the furniture dealer
Donald, a furniture dealer from Sydney, decided to expand the line of furniture in his store, so he decided to go to Paris to see what he could find.
After arriving in Paris, Don visited with some manufacturers and selected a line that he thought would sell well back home. To celebrate the new acquisition, he decided to visit a small bistro and have a glass of wine. As Donnie sat enjoying his wine, he noticed that the small place was quite crowded, and that the other chair at his table was the only vacant seat in the house.
Before long, a very beautiful young Parisian girl came to his table; asked him something in French (which Don couldn't understand); so Don motioned to the vacant chair and invited her to sit down. He tried to speak to her in English, but she did not speak his language. After a couple of minutes of trying to communicate with her, Donnie took a napkin and drew a picture of a wine glass and showed it to her. She nodded, so he ordered a glass of wine for her.
After sitting together at the table for a while, Don took another napkin and drew a picture of a plate with food on it, and she nodded.. They left the bistro and found a quiet cafe that featured a small group playing romantic music. They ordered dinner, after which Donnie took another napkin and drew a picture of a couple dancing. She nodded, and they got up to dance. They danced until the cafe closed and the band was packing up.
Back at their table, the young lady took a napkin and drew a picture of a
four-poster bed.
You know...to this very day, Donnie has no idea how she figured out that he was in the furniture business.
