Build a Workforce You Can Be Proud Of - Youth Skills Initiative

A traineeship is an employment based training program that can be undertaken full-time or part-time, where during the course of the traineeship the trainee learns new skills in a hands-on environment while gaining valuable work experience. A traineeship can kick start a rewarding and exciting career.

The Youth Skills Initiative Traineeship is available for workers up to 24 years of age who are existing workers. This initiative allows existing employees who normally would not qualify for subsidised traineeship course fees (because they are already employed)access to training and the achievement of a qualification which is recognised across Australia.

Providing eligibility requirements are met and the trainee has not previously completed a related qualification (e.g. undertaken a Certificate II in Meat Processing and is articulating in to a Certificate III in Meat Processing), the up to 24 year old can complete a 24 month traineeship where subsidised fees and employer incentives apply of up to $4000.

If undertaking a traineeship which is under 24 months duration, employer incentives will not apply, but the course costs will be subsidised.

Traineeships with CTS include:

  • Human Resources (Level 4)                         12 months
  • Resource Processing (Level 2)                    12 months
  • Resource Processing (Level 3)                    24 months
  • Resource Processing (Level 4)                    24 months
  • Frontline Management (Level 4)                18 months
  • Management                                                  24 months

How CTS Measures Up
"I want to thank you for the support you have given me obtaining my Certificate IV and Diploma in OSH. I had procrastinated for a number of years in obtaining these qualifications and with your help it became a reality . . . . . . . ", Brendan

"We have been associated with Combined Team Services over the last three years and have had staff attend a variety of training programs. We have been completely satisfied with the results.

A few months ago I attended a five day OHS representative course at Combined Team Services and was impressed by the way in which the course was conducted.

Combined Team Services have a strong background in practical mining experience and in the coming years that will be the direction of focus for our company. I would have no hesitation in recommending Combined Team Services to any of our major clients.", Environmental and Safety Manager

SAVE TIME and MONEY

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is the fastest way to gain a qualification if you have the industry knowledge. Our industry trained assessors adopt a streamlined approach to recognising current competency, both on and off site.

Companies can save money by having their staff fast-tracked through the skills recognition process. This equates to reduced training costs, reduced down time while workers are being trained and staff having focused training through skills recognition.

Contact the CTS team today to discuss your requirements and get started immedicately. Read more about this process on our website.
