Holy Week at Shadyside      
As we follow Christ to the cross, and then through death and loss to the resurrection, we discover that Jesus died to give us life. Join Shadyside Presbyterian Church during Holy Week to find your place in the passion and the new life Easter offers.  View the schedule.
Time is Running Out      
Shadyside Presbyterian Church is creating marathon relay teams to run in the Pittsburgh Marathon on Sunday, May 6. On this day, we will run with a mission; we will "Run for Haiti." There are five legs to the marathon at the distances of 5.5, 3.5, 6.4, 6.1, and 4.7 miles. If you are interested in being part of a relay team, contact Jeff Schooley or call the church office by today, March 28. Read more.
Volunteers Needed for General Assembly      
The Pittsburgh Presbytery will host the General Assembly, June 30 through July 7, at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Log on to www.cola2012.org to volunteer to welcome guests and assist in other ways. We will serve in the "ministry of hospitality" and welcome over 3,000 Presbyterians to Pittsburgh! The support of every congregation in the area is needed. For more information, contact Jennifer Loh through the church office.
Calling All Bakers      
Our annual birthday cake celebration is scheduled for Sun., April 22. We will need a minimum of two dozen cakes. Bake your favorite recipe or try a new one - a variety of cakes makes for a great event. Sign up in the Sharp Atrium lobby during our Time of Fellowship this Sunday (or call the church office) to let us know what kind of cake you will bring and which month of the year you would prefer to honor.
VBS Applications Available    
VBS 2012 LionVacation Bible School (VBS) is scheduled for June 18-22. Information is now published under the Children's Ministry section of the church's website. Visit by clicking here and download an application (PDF) to register children or volunteer as a junior counselor.
