Chili Event Thanks!

The Chili After Church event on Sun., Jan. 29, was full of delicious aromas and warm conversation. The Parish Life Ministry Team would like to thank all the people who shared their chili, cornbread, desserts, extension cords, and extra crock pots. Please be on the lookout for an All-Clad ladle belonging to a member which managed to wander off. All of the food prepared so generously was fantastic, and we are blessed to have so many talented cooks!

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Dinner

The whole family is invited to join us in this pre-Lenten celebration and fundraiser. On Tues., Feb. 21, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Parish Hall, the youth will be sponsoring an all-you-can-eat pancake supper to aid in the costs of summer mission opportunities for those in grades 6-12. Come celebrate Mardi Gras and support the youth. The cost of the dinner is $10 for adults, $5 for children, or $30 for a family. Please RSVP by signing up in the Sharp Atrium or calling the church office by Feb. 14. Questions? Contact Jackie Spycher.

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank

Volunteers are needed on Sat., Feb. 11, to distribute food to the needy in Homewood at Holy Rosary Church. Join Brigetta Hannah and members of the Hunger and Homelessness MAC as they help the Food Bank to place produce, meats, and canned goods in the hands of those who need it most. Time: 8:45 a.m. until noon. Please notify the church office by Tues., Feb. 7, if you are interested in participating.

Mexico City Mission: May 21-26, 2012

SPC's mission partner, Comunidad Mosaico, has extended an invitation for SPC to send a short-term construction team to the Chimalhuacan community. Volunteers need not be skilled laborers. If interested, please contact Rev. Leach and attend the informational meeting after worship on Sun., Feb. 12, in the Hulme Room.
