Music in a Great Space Presents MIGS

Kelly LynchOn Sun., Jan. 22, at 4:00 p.m., Music in a Great Space presents soprano Kelly Lynch, Chancel Choir soloist. Dr. Lynch's Shadyside recital debut will include Book II of Messiaen's Poèmes pour Mi, Handel's "Let the Bright Seraphim," songs of Richard Strauss, and a Verdi aria, among other selections. Shadyside in China China 

On Sun., Jan. 29 at 9:45 a.m. in the Hulme Room, Rev. Todd Leach will highlight his recent journey to China while sharing some of Shadyside's historical connections with a Presbyterian mission compound in the Shandong Province. Come learn why Rev. Leach's journey was at times frustrating, yet ended in great hope with the possibility of a future partnership. 

Chili After Church Chili 

On Sun., Jan. 29, the Parish Hall will be filled once again with the aroma of delicious chili and cornbread.  Do you have a favorite recipe that you would be willing to make for this event?  We are looking for 25 cooks to make at least three quarts of chili - beef, chicken, turkey, or vegetarian. Brownies or cookies for dessert are also appreciated. Not a cook? Be a taster! Make your reservations today by calling 412-682-4300. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for children. Could you lend us your crock pot to keep the chili piping hot? Tell us when you RSVP. 

Bedding & Pillow Collection BeddingPillow 

On Sun., Jan. 29, we will hold the third annual Bedding and Pillow Collection for Off the Floor Pittsburgh to help those in need. We will collect twin, regular, and queen blankets in new or used condition; new pillows (state law); and mattress pads. Please put a size label on the blankets. Donations will be received in the Parish Hall.
