Women of Faith Conference: Oct. 7 and 8  

Women of Shadyside Presbyterian Church are invited to attend the Women of Faith Conference at the Consol Energy Center. There are two sessions on Friday, October 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The conference continues on Saturday, October 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cost to attend the conference is $89. Haiti Medical Mission  

Please pray for Elder Rich McGough and YAd./Grad. member Brian Moore as they travel to Hôpital Albert Schweitzer this week to perform necessary procedures for our Haitian brothers and sisters.

China Mission  

From October 5 through 13, Rev. Todd Leach will travel to China in partnership with The Outreach Foundation. Please keep Rev. Leach in prayer as he travels to reconnect with our history and to re-establish long-lost relationships from previous decades. Shadyside's relationship with China dates back to 1924, when our church helped to build a hospital in partnership with the Presbyterian mission efforts. (This past Sunday when we celebrated World Communion, we also welcomed guests from China in partnership with the Pittsburgh Theological Seminary. Read more.)
