DoMMMark A. Anderson to Be New Director of Music Ministry at Shadyside

Mark A. Anderson The Director of Music Ministry Search Committee is pleased to announce that the Session has approved the selection of
Mark A. Anderson as our new Director of Music Ministry. Mr. Anderson comes to us from The Presbyterian Church of Chestnut Hill near Philadelphia where he served as Organist/Choirmaster. We look forward to welcoming him to our church staff in early September. Read more.

We are indebted to our search committee, and to Curt Scheib and Kate Pearson, who shepherded us so well through this interim time. While Curt will remain with us, Kate has decided to leave Pittsburgh to return to graduate school. We will have an opportunity at the end of August to express our thanks to both of them.

HomerunsHome Runs for Hunger

Home Runs for HungerIn an effort to help our neighbors who are hungry, Presbyterians will give $100 or more to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank through the end of the season each time a Pirate player hits a home run. Shadyside Presbyterian Church has joined other churches in the Pittsburgh Presbytery by participating in this program, sponsoring five home runs for a total amount of $500. To learn more, visit the Presbytery website, visit the Home Runs for Hunger website, and read the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette article.
