What My Clients Are Saying... | |
"One of Nadine's greatest skills is listening. She matched who we were and what we were saying with various housing options. On our first visit, we ended up seeing the house we were looking for! On our second visit we made an offer. Throughout the process, Nadine was always available with guidance, encouragement, and advice. She has many connections, so if you need a tradesman, house inspector, insurance agent, attorney, restaurant, etc., she's the one to turn to. I can't recommend Nadine enough -- you can't go wrong with this lady!"

Greetings!
Over the past couple of weeks, I've shown some interesting homes, ones that are quite different from the usual. Each was unique, and enchanting in its own way. Today I'd like to share some of those with you. |

Something a Little Different...
For many people, one of the joys of buying a Cape house is that it looks like a Cape house - a beach house. But we have some appealing homes that look like they should be in Vermont or deep in the Maine woods, and these are really appealing too. Here are a couple:
| |
Over six acres of perfect privacy | 456 Locustfield Road is a captivating home on over six acres, abutting additional open space. You enter the driveway and it winds along, ending with a sweet surprise as the house, barn, and workshop unfold before you. You would never imagine that you were in the middle of Falmouth, minutes from downtown and the beaches. The house is simple, oriented toward the sun, and with beautiful chestnut panelling. It's been exceptionally maintained, and is just a delight to be in! The asking price is $599,000. Click on the address or photo above for more details and pictures.

The Waquoit Glass Shop |
The last incarnation of 42 Carriage Shop Road in Waquoit was as a stained glass studio and home. It still retains the configuration and aura of a working studio, and as such, is exceptionally charming. This is not one of those "you've seen one, you've seen them all" kinds of homes. Lots of wide open and high space; public access for studio work and sales; cozy private space; and a cottage garden out the back door complete the Waquoit Glass Shop. Next door to the village post office, this is a true Waquoit treasure, asking $389,000. Click on the address or photo above for more details and pictures.

An artist's cottage |
17 Dillingham Ave is the quintessential artist's cottage, asking $399,900. The current owner is a well-known fiber artist, and her home exudes the glory of color, texture, and pattern. Light, too! The gardens are as charming as the home, and there's lots of access to them. In addition, this is truly an in-town property, around the corner from the library and Main Street; retire here instead of to a condo. Could hardly be more inviting; click above to look. |

Say Hello to My Assistant
| | Erin & Dave |
Say hello to my assistant, Erin Doherty. She's a social media and online marketing specialist, and works both virtually and in person. The name of her company is Virtualize It. (The picture is of her and her main squeeze -- aren't they great-looking together?)
For those of you who know me, you know I'm big on ideas and short on execution. Well, not really short on execution, but my enthusiasm leads me to over-filling my plate all the time. So, I never have enough time to do all the things that I think are so great. This is Erin's entrance...
Every two weeks, she shows up at my house and together, we create and publish this masterpiece that you're currently reading. I choose the topics and the properties, and write the copy; Erin does everything else. And what she does is really the hard part: she brings in the property links; creates the layouts, fonts, images; and is the direct connection with Constant Contact. Not only do we have as much fun creating this as we hope you have reading it, but we laugh at our own jokes! Working with Erin is really one of the highlights of my work life, and if you have any social media or online marketing needs, I think you should contact her. Here's her info:

Just don't use up so much of her time that she won't have any left for me!

A Reminder
I am incredibly gratified that so many of you have told me that you look forward to receiving my little newsletter. Please keep the dialogue going and if there's more - or less - of something you'd like to read about, let me know.
I also want to remind you that you can search for homes easily through the property search function on my website. People who are using it tell me that it's really easy, very comprehensive, and visually appealing. If you're so inclined, give it a whirl! |
