PDP Hosts Puppy Adoptions at

Petco in Pearl City

Poi Dogs & Popoki has worked hard to help our homeless families care for their pets. As part of our outreach to the leeward coast, we have sterilized almost 100 dogs.

Unfortunately, we were too late for a family and their 10 dogs living on the beach in Waianae.  Two females - a terrier mix and sharpei mix - gave birth to 16 puppies. Life on the beach is hard for families so after losing the third puppy, PDP agreed to foster the puppies until they were ready for adoption.

Join us at Petco Pearl City for a crazy adoption day with 12 puppies!

Saturday, Dec. 11, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Sunday, Dec. 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The $150 adoption fee covers:

  • Spay and neuter surgery
  • Microchip
  • Deworming
  • First shots
  • Flea treatment

Volunteers needed!  What a great job....sitting and playing with puppies (and cleaning their poo and pee so their play area stays clean).

Pet Food Always Welcome!  Even if you can't adopt a puppy, please consider donating wet or dry dog and cat food to help our homeless families care for their pets. They are literally caring for our islands' castaways by taking in the stray dogs and cats that no one else wants. They give them hope and a second chance at life, but they just need a little extra help.

Adopt a Cat or Kitten with Joey's Feline Friends!  Don't forget that kittens and cats are always available for adoption at Petco Pearl city.
