Aloha Pet Ohana,
PDP has been busy administering a spay and neuter grant for west Oahu pets and their families. Mahalo to the City and County of Honolulu for recognizing the need to help our families with this important and costly surgery. After just three clinics, we've sterilized and microchipped 35 dogs and over 150 cats - both feral and friendly. For more information about our monthly clinics, please visit our website. The surgery fee is subsidized for west Oahu families struggling to care for their pets.
 Stay tuned for our outreach schedule in which we visit west Oahu communities door-to-door disseminating pet goody bags, providing on site health checks and mircochip identification with a licensed vet, and identifying families with pets that need a little extra TLC suching as builidng kennels and fences for chained dogs. PDP has found that most people want to take better care of their pets. They just lack the resources to do it. That's where we come in.

But for Poi Dogs & Popoki, please also bring your old towels.  We need towels for our spay and neuter clinics - to cover feral cat traps, to place inside carriers for pets, and to help with clean up. Volunteers needed! Even if you don't golf, we still need volunteers to help with the putting, chipping and bunker contests, checking in players, and distributing food and refreshments throughout the tournament day. All volunteers receive a PDP t-shirt and will enjoy a day of fun in the sun. |
