Earth Medicine Alliance                                          August 2012

Greetings!

I'd like to extend a warm and friendly welcoming to our newest board member, Kimberly Errigo!

Our first ritual for children was a sweet afternoon in Glen Canyon Park. Thank you to the families who were able to take time in nature with us in celebration of the elements, nature spirits, creativity and community.

We're hosting a community gathering at Chez Poulet in SF in beginning of Sept with light ritual and a film screening: "Call of Life." Space is limited, so please reserve your seat at no charge

Our third annual conference, Celebrating Ancestral Wisdom, is coming up in October! We're offering discounted tickets before September 1st. $75 for a weekend of indigenous wisdom, heart-centered dialogue, experiential workshops and ceremonies on the land.

I'm happy to announce that John Lockley, Xhosa Sangoma from South Africa, will be in SF again the weekend after the conference to offer divinations and a weekend intensive: "Working with Plant Medicine."

There is much that can be accomplished when community comes together in service and devotion. If you have a passion for connecting with the living Earth and feel the gratitude and abundance of time or resources, we'd love to hear from you, so please be in touch.

Warmly,

Artemis

Film Screening:
"Call of Life, Facing the Mass Extinction"
Sept 9th

6:30-9pm, Chez Poulet: 3399 Cesar Chavez St. Through interviews with leading scientists, psychologists, anthropologists, and indigenous leaders, the film explores the causes, the scope and the potential effects of the mass extinction. It also looks beyond the immediate causes to consider how our cultural systems, along with deep-seated psychological and behavioral patterns & have allowed this situation to develop.

Paul Rubio and Daniel Foor ceremonialists and Alliance board members, will open with light ritual and dialogue. We welcome you to stay to connect with the community afterwards about our power to effect this kind of change.  Please leave time for street parking. Limited Space: reserve your seat ahead of time at no charge! Donation suggested at event.
"Working with Plant Medicine" Weekend Intensive with Xhosa Sangoma, John Lockley October 27th-28th
