Live and Silent Auctions are in the works!

We are gathering auction items, big and small. Whether it's a gift certificate, condo, round of golf, hunting trip or class party, your donations are appreciated. To donate contact Auction Co-chairs, Nan Hamilton  or Carolyn Stone Johnson. They will be happy to coordinate your donation large or small for the big event. Auction forms are available online or you may pick one up in Building 1.

A Northland tradition is for the senior class to sell Valentine's Day gifts for delivery to students on Valentine's Day. This year, the senior class is adding a precious stuffed monkey for only $4. This year, the photos with Cupid will be sent to a specified email address. This will enable the recipient to make as many copies as they like! Grandparents' Day

Grandparent's Day is coming up in March, so it's time to send in your photos of grandparents that you want to be included in the slide show. Send your .jpg pictures to Mrs. Blossom at lblossom@northlandchristian.org. Include both student's and grandparent's name.  

Duke TIP Students Announced

The Duke University Talent Identification Program is a global leader in identifying academically gifted students and providing them with innovative programming to support their development.

Twenty five of our 4th and 5th graders qualified for the Duke TIP program this year.  Students must have scored 95% or higher on a major subtest of the Stanford Achievement Test. 24% of our fourth graders qualified and 53% of our fifth graders qualified. Congratulations, students!

First Annual Science Night at the Elementary Campus

Mark your calendars now for the First Annual Science Night at the Elementary Campus! This fun and educational event will be held on Tuesday, April 19th from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. in the Elementary gym & cafeteria.

All students, Kindergarten through 5th grade, are invited to visit the NCS Science Museum. Come eat pizza, view student projects and perform lots and lots of experiments in the Halls of Science. 

Cougars Make the News

BCVideoLiterally! Each week Northland student's research, write, and produce a news broadcast of Northland events and happenings. The students spend time each week researching and gathering information for their news stories and then turn that information into a written story for the anchor to read.Each student is given a task on filming day ranging from controlling the camera to editing the footage. After the episode is recorded, it is then uploaded to Youtube for the entire Northland family to see. Click to view a sample broadcast.
