Dear HS Parents,
Educational travel
experiences complement learning done at school and contribute to the
transformation of our students into well-rounded individuals.
In past years, NCS students have
traveled to China, Greece, Turkey, Italy, England, Scotland, Spain and more. This year the NCS International
Educational opportunity is a customized, private tour to a most beautiful place
in God's creation, Costa Rica!
Our
itinerary offers:
- Geology with a visit to an active volcano
- Botany
with plants of the cloud forest
- Pre-Columbian history
- Tropical ecology
- Biodiversity of hundreds of exotic plants and animals
- Spanish language and
culture
- Adventure hikes
- Swimming in natural hot springs
- Zip line
experience in the tree tops!
INFORMATION Information outlining
the itinerary, reservation and rooming form, general terms and conditions,
deposits, payment schedule are linked at left.
DEADLINES Please note that the deadline for reservation forms, sky trek adventure
waivers and deposits is September 30th at 9am and that the price
includes air, hotel, tour guides, most meals, private coach, entry fees, and
all gratuities.
Each traveler must submit a separate set of documents. Deposits for multiple family members
may be added into a single check.
Any parents planning on traveling with their HS student on
the Costa Rica trip must submit a new Volunteer Background Check Form to the
business office. Land only
packages are not an option for high school students to prevent them from being separated
from the group by overbooking or changes in the flight schedules. All deposits and forms should be turned
in to Laura Lane in room 500 by September 30 at 9am. All future
payments will be made directly to Intropa Tours.
Each year NCS parents and in
some cases, entire families, have joined their HS students on our international
trips (parents must travel and be responsible for younger siblings). There are a limited number
of seats so each reservation set of forms and deposits will be marked with the
date and time received in case a wait list is required. All deposits and registration forms
turned in prior to the deadline will be held securely in the safe until the
group count is confirmed at 9am on September 30th. When the group count is confirmed, all
participants will be notified that their deposits have been sent to Intropa
Tours. After that time, the
Intropa cancellation terms take effect as listed in your trip terms and
conditions documents. If
there are not enough confirmed participants, the trip will be canceled and
deposits returned.
If you have additional
questions, please contact me at llane@northlandchristian.org.
Yours in Christ, Laura Lane
