| SMAC Update | September 6, 2011 |
|
Greetings!
As the fall season opens, September is alive with an abundance of arts and cultural events. I wanted to tell you about one exciting and free event that shows off the rich diversity and talent of our visual arts community. If you have never been, it truly is fun and inspiring to have a chance to meet the many artists that create in their very interesting studios spaces.
The Center for Contemporary Art, Sacramento presents its 6th Capital Artists' Studio Tour the weekend of September 10th and 11th, 2011. This year's annual event features over 150 Sacramento artists, whom the public can meet in their studios to see, learn about and purchase their work. All studios are within 4 miles of the Center. You can download a map with listings of the participating artists on their website or on Sacramento365.com, our calendar site.
I hope to see you out and about over the weekend.
Warm regards,
Rhyena Halpern, Executive Director
Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission |
