SMAC UpdateMay 23, 2011

Greetings!

We had a wonderful turn out last Tuesday at the City Council budget hearing. Our Arts. Open Daily buttons shone on everyone's lapels. Twenty-five supporters showed up and ten people spoke about SMAC's value to our community and the importance of maintaining public funding for the arts. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend!  You can stream the proceeding on the City Council website (we are item #11).

I also encourage you to read the article about the proceedings on Sacramento Press.

Thank you,

Carlin Naify

Chair, Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission

P.S. A note from SMAC: the SMAC office will be closed next Monday, May 30, for the Memorial Day holiday.  Please look for our e-newsletter on Tuesday, May 31st.
