WHAT DO ARTS AGENCIES ACHIEVE?


Arts agencies offer a variety of services, including grants, marketing assistance, public information, technical assistance, training, and research.

Combined, these services:
  • make the economic, educational and civic benefits of the arts available to all communities by broadening public access to the arts and reducing barriers to cultural participation;
  • support academic success by helping schools to tap the arts as a teaching and learning asset;
  • hone a region's competitive edge by fostering a creative work force, shaping an attractive quality of life, and developing the networks of creative products and professionals a region needs to succeed in today's marketplace;
  • support small business development by providing catalytic funding and essential skills to creative entrepreneurs;
