Two eye-catching, intricately detailed, and brightly colored sculptures in the shape of vessels now adorn a shaded patio in Fremont Park. Taylor has covered the concrete vessels with a myriad of hand-cast, carved, and applied historic elements, in a salute to explorer John C. Fremont. More information>
Poetry Out Loud: 2011 National FinalsPoetry Out Loud Mike
The finals took place April 29 in Washington, DC.

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) and the Poetry Foundation presented the 2011 National Finals of Poetry Out Loud: National Recitation Contest last week, a program that encourages high school students to learn about great poetry through memorization and performance. More information>
