SMAC UpdateMarch 21, 2011

Greetings!

With our Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2010 hot off the press, I hope you will either receive one in the mail or view it online. One impact statistic that I would like to share with you is that our nonprofit arts organizations contributed 280,000 free tickets to disadvantaged groups and served 148,000 K-12 students with free or reduced-price outreach programs.

You will also find quotes from community leaders like Jonathan Raymond of SCUSD, Beth Hassett of WEAVE, Darrell Roberts of Roberts Family Development Center, as well as former elected officials including Phil Isenberg and Muriel Johnson, to whom we dedicated the report.

Warm regards,

Rhyena Halpern, Executive Director
Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission
