| SMAC Update | February 14, 2011 |
|
Greetings!
Where is the money? Even though some arts organizations and artists are doing well these days, the norm is that most of us are struggling with a sharp decrease in contributed and generated income over these last, long four years.
SMAC wants to help ignite funding with our Where's the Money? An Arts Funding Symposium, March 22 at KVIE, 8:30am-5:30pm. The event will feature private and public funders, as well as local and national funders. We will offer workshops, panels, and time for you to meet one-on-one with funders and service providers. You can also learn about upcoming funding opportunities!
Save the Date: Tuesday, March 22, or go ahead and register today.
More info to follow very soon!
Best,
Rhyena Halpern, Executive Director Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission |

Multiple Intelligences in the Arts
The theory of multiple intelligences provides a dynamic framework for Teaching Artists to understand our own individual learning strengths and challenges. In this workshop for artists interested in teaching any art form, we will explore the 9 ways of learning and develop strategies for encouraging every student to learn in the way most meaningful to him/her. |
