USDA Rural Development - Committed to the future of rural communities
Building North Dakota

State Director Jasper Schneider

Progress continues to be made toward building a better North Dakota and USDA Rural Development is proud to be part of those efforts.  Our state is experiencing success in energy production, but agriculture still remains to be a critical economic component of North Dakota's economy.  For these industries to thrive, it is imperative that we have surrounding and supporting communities.

USDA Rural Development has invested over $900 million in projects throughout North Dakota.  Our agency strives to increase economic opportunity and improve the quality of life in rural America by helping rural individuals, communities and businesses obtain the financial and technical assistance needed to address their diverse and unique needs.

With our resources and flexible programs, communities are able to build necessary infrastructure to encourage people to live, work, raise families and establish businesses in North Dakota.  There is a lot of hope for our rural communities and Rural Development is working to match that hope with opportunity.

Please take a moment to view our progress report which provides a snapshot of our agency's activities over the past year.  These investments did not happen alone, but took leadership and a collaboration of efforts.  Thank you for partnering with USDA Rural Development to make sure North Dakota continues to grow stronger.
