Ray-Mac remained associated with Auto Sense until the opportunity to become a CARQUEST Auto Parts store presented in 2006.
CARQUEST is the premier supplier of replacement auto parts, accessories, supplies and equipment for virtually all makes of automobiles, as well as light and heavy-duty trucks, off-road equipment, buses, recreational vehicles and agricultural equipment. Additionally, we distribute and sell tools, equipment, chemicals, paint and accessories.
Ray-Mac Distributors are proud to report that they are the autobody industries largest independent automotive jobber in Chatham-Kent.
When Ray-Mac Distributors was founded in 1986 the original owners included Erl Rayment, James McMaster, Paul Rayment, Leo Smolders and Ted Austin.
In 1995 Ray-Mac Distributors purchased the shares of James (Butch) McMaster and five years later purchased those shares held by Erl Rayment. Paul Rayment was named president in 2000 and held that position until 2008.
Walt Nead joined Ray-Mac Distributors in March 1989 and became a shareholder in 1992. In April 2009 Walt Nead became the sole owner/president of Ray-Mac Distributors when he purchased Paul Rayment's company shares.
