By Pass Your Competition with Co-Injection Molding

Original Equipment Manufacturers' (OEM) are bombarded from competition from all over the world. Innovating new products that consumers will pay a premium for is harder than ever. Cutting edge technologies like computers, automobiles and refrigerators are mostly considered commodities in a crowded field. Co-Injection Molding just may be the answer to moving from commodity product to premium product in your marketplace. Co-Injection Molding has been around for a long time but it's benefits have gone mostly unnoticed. Co-Injection Molding can lower parts cost, improve aesthetics, and increase physical properties among other things.

Question: Is Plastic bio-degradable?

Answer:   Yes, we can add organic materials to resin that will not modify the resin to which it is added. Physical properties and appearance stays the same but the plastic will now bio-degrade in a land fill. The plastic does not bio-degrade until certain bacteria like the ones found at land fills start bio-degradation. Every application is somewhat unique so we encourage you to contact us so we can discuss.

Answer: Plastics or thermoplastic resins are recyclable. Many products are made with 5-10% of recycle as part of the process. Some applications are made of entirely recycled plastic. Plastic for recycle is reduced in size with granulators and then blended with virgin material to make new products.

Question: What are the benefits of powder coating and should I consider it for my product?

Answer: Our fluidized bed plastics coating process is ideal for coating wire forms, irregular shaped parts, sheet metal and stampings that require a thinner, more uniform coating when compared to dip coating. Thickness ranges from .007" to .020". A wide variety of color, texture, and durometers are available.

Benefits:
Corrosion Resistance
Noise Reducing
Vibration Dampening
Electrical Resistance

If you have an application, feel free to contact us so we can determine what is right for your application.

Question: I was looking to get parts injection molded, can I Dip Mold them instead?

Answer: Some injection molded parts can be dip molded. Dip molding offers low cost tooling and inexpensive parts if the geometry isn't complex. You will need to provide your dip molder an engineering drawing so they can determine your options.
