Can You Really Save Money With Dip Molding?
The multitude of manufacturing processes gives designers a wide variety of options when getting products made. This article will focus on injection molding and dip molding. The quantity of parts required, complexity, physical requirements and cost are just some of the things that are considered when choosing between injection molding and dip molding. With the wide range of resins for both processes, it is surprising how many applications can be met by both injection molding and dip molding.

What Is Dip Coating?
Dip Coating is more than just the coating on your favorite hand tool. Plastisol dip coating has a variety of other uses. While it's true that plastisol (Poly Vinyl Chloride) is great for coating hand tools that we use every day, but it also has high dielectric properties for high voltage protection and can improve ergonomics and feel of many different products. There are other uses of this material that most people don't consider. For example, PVC has outstanding chemical resistance. A plastisol coated basket used in the plating process will extend the life of the basket considerably. When the plastisol coating finally wears out, in most cases the coating can be stripped and a fresh coating applied. The replacement cost of the basket usually far exceeds the cost of the coating.
