The Tennessee Scenic Vistas Protection Act is up for a vote tomorrow, Wednesday, February 29th at 10:30 a.m. CT in the Senate Energy and Environment Committee. The vote is too close to call. We need your help!

The Scenic Vistas Protection Act (SB577/HB291) would ban mountaintop removal coal mining on ridgelines above 2,000 feet in Tennessee. This would be the first ban related to mountaintop removal mining practices. We are so close to a major milestone in SOCM history.
