You can help SOCM win $5,000 by voting online or by phone for SOCM as your favorite non-profit.  It's a quick and easy process and helps ensure SOCM members throughout the state can continue working for social, economic and environmental justice for all Tennesseans. Look for SOCM's full name when you vote: Statewide Organizing for Community eMpowerment.

Wherever you are in the world, there are multiple ways that you can vote. Cast your vote online today or tweet @poll and SOCM.  Those in the U.S. can also vote by texting SOCM to 22333.  That means an individual can vote up to three times by phone, online and through Twitter!

Blueout pollSOCM is in 4th place! Vote today to make us a finalist!

BlueOut Knoxville was born out of a collaboration between two of Knoxville's social media creative marketing firms: Blue Media Boutique and Bluegill Creative. The way it works:

1. Deadline is August 31, 2011 to vote for your favorite charity.

2. On September 1st, the top 3 charities with the most votes will be named the blue ribbon finalists.

3. Between September 1st and September 29th (the night of the event), votes may be purchased for $1. At 8:30 pm on the night of BlueOut Knoxville, the winning charity will be announced!

Your vote is needed today to make SOCM a top-three finalist!
